Online Resources for Your Event
New ArcLessons - Water Use Analysis with GIS

Participants will also learn how to analyze this data using GIS and spatial statistics techniques. See all new ArcLessons.
National Geographic Bee
Consider incorporating questions from the 9th National Geographic World Championship held July 11-16, in Mexico City, into your GIS Day event. Create a few GIS-related ones to test your audience's knowledge.
Kick Off a GeoMentorship with a GIS Day Event
The newly established GeoMentor program, which was jointly announced by ESRI and the National Geographic Society in July, encourages people who use GIS to volunteer with educators and students.
A GeoMentor "adopts" a school, class, or club and supports the educator in working with youth. Using paper or digital tools, the GeoMentor helps the educator and youth develop skills in geographic thinking. One way to kick off a GeoMentor relationship is by hosting a GIS Day event. Use GIS Day as a starting point for your GeoMentor activities. Learn more about the GeoMentor program.
