Our GIS Day lunchbox event was attended by faculty, student, and staff of Panola College and also a few members of the community. It was a success not only in terms of attendance and the presentation but most importantly at the end of the presentation, Mrs. Cahal, GIS Manager for the East Texas Council of Government, made an announcement about job opportunities at her organization, and we were able to get the students make the right connection and evaluate for themselves the future of GIS careers.
