ENTRIX, Inc.
Brush Prairie, WA
The GIS Staff of ENTRIX, Inc. and assistant Jessie Larson (2nd Grade) hosted a GIS Day event for 7 second grade classes (165 students) at Hockinson Heights Primary School in Brush Prairie, Washington. The presentation included an introduction of GIS and GIS Day; a PowerPoint teaching necessary map elements, points, lines, and polygons; and a Spaceship that used aerial imagery to make the journey from outerspace all the way to the Hockinson Heights Primary School where it landed. The hour-long presentation ended with a crossword puzzle designed to review the information, and the kids were called upon to answer the questions.
