Atlantic County Office of GIS accepted an invitation to visit over 120 fourth grade students at the Seaview School in Linwood, New Jersey. The students were challenged to determine the best location to construct a theme park within the county using GIS methodology. Various data layers were provided to the students and were systematically placed on top of one another as the students refined the best location. Individual maps and GIS souvenirs were provided to each student and their teachers. See a photo of a collage comprised of the numerous thank you letters the Office of GIS received from the students.
